Starting a successful business is not only about the knowledge you have, but even more importantly: the right mindset.

But what is mindset?

A mindset is a collection of beliefs, attitudes and assumptions that shape how you think, feel and behave. It acts as a lens through which you view your experiences and the world around you.

Someone with a 'growth mindset' believes that skills and intelligence can be developed through effort and learning.

Someone with a 'fixed mindset' will believe that these are static traits that you cannot change.

Your mindset influences how you deal with challenges, setbacks and opportunities, ultimately playing a decisive role in your personal and professional development.

So you have to ask yourself:

Who am I? How do I think? What are my habits and characteristics? How do I really feel about myself? How much self-confidence do I have? How well do I interact with others? How much do I trust others? Do I really feel worthy of wealth? Can I take action despite fear, worry, discomfort and setbacks? Can I take action even when I don't feel like it?

Becoming successful starts with the right mindset

How successful you become has a lot to do with your mindset. When you start a business, whether it is online or offline, you will face many challenges. Your mindset determines how you deal with those challenges.

Does a setback make you cautious and perhaps negative? Or do you see the setback as a learning experience and think of solutions that can take you further?

There is no entrepreneur who has not fallen flat on his face. How you deal with those moments determines the success of your business. Positive vs negative, learning moment vs failure, discipline vs procrastination.

From a young age on, your brain is programmed by the people and environment around you. We are the result of our upbringing and environment. Not that you do not form your own opinion about things, but your behavior is largely determined by your unconscious brain that was programmed in your youth.

But just like a computer hard drive, you can reprogram your brain by deleting old, bad habits and replacing them with positive habits that will help you become successful with your business.

You also have a 'money blueprint' from your youth that determines how you feel about money and how you deal with money. This is also very decisive for the success of your company. But more about that in the post 'Your financial blueprint'.

Tip:

Read the book 'Breaking the habit of being yourself' by Dr. Joe Dispenza. This book teaches you how the brain works and how you can take steps to reprogram your brain for success.
