This is me. In Java. Eating the genuine sateh that is deeply rooted in our Dutch culture because of our colonial past. Happy vibes!

At that point I would never have guessed that 7 years later I would be bankrupt, forcefully had to sell my house and be forced in a financial f*ck up to pay off my debts.

But it was a lesson. I started looking at different ways to make money, read a lot of books and discovered that there are so many ways to escape the 9 to 5 grind and claim your freedom.

I’ve had a live changing experience to finallly make me realize that.

This was an eye opener for me and I realized that the only thing that was holding me back was me.

Once you understand that and dig deep into yourself anything can happen!

Life is really as complicated as you want it to be.

Follow your passion and money will follow!

Simple statement right?

When you start a business, whether it be online or brick and mortar, you start from a certain ideology. And somewhere down the line revenue becomes more important than your ideology.

Because your bottom line is under pressure, your margins are getting thinner, you are overstaffed because you took on more staff when times were golden.

But somewhere things shifted. Are you being true to your original self now compared to when you started your company?

Did you start your company to have your freedom? Work hard but still be able to make your own decisions?

For me it is just that. I don’t mind working hard but only to build my own dreams, not someone else’s. As an owner you will be lucky to find someone that executes your business just the way you wanted. And that is just because money comes into play.

Have you ever wondered why employees are leaving you? Because you’ve strayed of the path of your own ideology. You made the quick buck more important than your true believes.

And your employees will pick up on that!
And not only that: your customers will pick up on that.
If you stay true to what you once imagined, you may have hard times financially but people will stick with you. And always remember: after winter there will always be spring.

If you bring the right value, money will follow.

Do you want to be remembered as the guy who had the hip and happening place for five years or the one that had a sustainable business for 20 years and grew businesses from that sustainability?
